Why did you call your Blog “IRONIC FASHION”

IRONIC FASHION comes from the trend of wearing clothes that you probably shouldn’t but secretly love to. For me, it’s probably wearing trainers and performance clothing as a fashion statement. Another example of Ironic Fashion are Creole earrings – so wrong but so right.

When did you start blogging and why?

I started Blogging at the beginning of 2009 because I had seen other fashion blogs and wanted to get involved and used the Blog as a creative outlet for my writing.

Who inspires you / who’s your style crush?

I’m inspired by a lot of different style tribes from different cities; New York, Paris and of course Liverpool. People have a misguided view on how people from Liverpool dress, but if you delve deeper, you’ll see we’ve got style tribes that rival Brick Lane.

What’s the best part of being a blogger? And the worst?

The best part is the feeling when somebody takes the time to email you or comment you saying that they like the Blog. I got an email today from a girl asking if she could interview me for her Masters degree things like that are so flattering.

The worst part is the negativity that floats about, especially within Fashion Blogs. I would never ever leave a negative comment because a) only a fool would take time out of their own day to leave a bitchy comment which can only stem from jealousy and b) I believe in Blog Karma; what goes around comes around!

What or who are you currently reading (your favourite blog)?

My favourite Blogger ever is Camille from childhoodflames. Her sense of fashion is amazing, so simple and classic but bang on trend. My other favourite Blog is everythingyoulovetohate. This guy updates the Blog most days with the most incredibly inspiring images. When I first found it, I read it for like an hour and a half, back to his very first post. That’s when you know you’ve found an amazing Blog, when you just want to keep clicking “older posts” until there are no more!

What has Summer 2010 meant to you?

Summer 2010 has meant finishing Uni after four long years, graduation, and exciting opportunities. I am moving to Amsterdam at the end of summer to go work for Nike, so I’m making the most of being in England while I can.

What’s your favourite Aussie product? Why?

I love the Aussie products, and I’m not just saying that! I love the hairsprays though, they smell amazing and really give your hair a glossy shine.

What’s been the best part of being an Aussie Angel so far?

The whole Blogging community coming together! The Beauty Bloggers know so much about individual products; they are amazing. It’s also nice to feel a part of something, and speaking to girls from different cities that I would have never met otherwise.

What would you like to see from Aussie and the Angel project in the future?

The Aussie events are always so much fun! So more events are always welcomed!
